I always tried
to please everyone..........
I stopped wearing 'skirts'
when someone said......
I look 'stout'.
I never had short hair
'cos someone said ........
'untraditional'.
I started using cycle
'cos someone said........
I have 'manly walk'.
Then,
one day suddenly.............
I thought .........
what for I live ?
only to please others ?
I lose the rarest moment of my life.
I have a life to live, learn and enjoy.........
But,
I involve in pleasing others
and
bothered about their views and comments
Ultimately ............
I live a life only to please others.
But........ did i succeed?
Are they really pleased?
certainly not.............
'cos views and comments persist for ever.
The above writeup may be a storm in a tea cup for many.
But for me ........ It is the reverse.

A very nice one..straight from the heart...you also forgot to mention this..How people tell you abt not being fair complexion and giving tips to improve it and how much money did we spend on fair and lovely & hoping to become fair one day :)People dont recognize you for what you are..That saddens me the most..Inspite of your achievements and honors and being the REAL you to your people..there is always someone who steals the limelight just for looking good and for making round chapathis :)
Perhaps we like to think that wverybody is thinking about us. That we are the centre of their world...perhaps we aren't, and each one has their own demons to fight.
